Privacy is an important thing even more these days. This website uses it's own onprem Matomo (Piwik) instance for analytics with anonymized IP addresses. The last 2 bytes are automatically removed. If you want, you can even block this with your ad/script blocker. I still would like to see the progress and development of my blog in the world wide web. I don't use any ad networks nor I'll sell any data.
The visitor logs are kept for 42 days and are removed automatically by Matomo. Matomo respects the "Do not track" feature of your browser, if it's activated.
Opt-Out
Here you can Opt-Out of the Matomo Web Analytics on my blog. You will get set a opt-out cookie, so Matomo can respect your decision.
Matomo set a cookie so it can recognize if visitors are commming back or not. Of course, I don't care if you block eveything in your browser or delete your cookies ;-)
